Vintage '60s Teisco Decca TULIP Guitar '3-D' Metal Pickguard, 4/2 Headstock!
****HAS HAD WIRING MODIFICATIONS****
All the cool stuff here! Distributed by Decca Record Company (you'll see this instrument advertised on some old Decca 45 record sleeves), the 'Faux' 3-D metal pickguard, VEGAMATIC rocker switches, and a 4/2 tuner headstock!!! The guitar sounds great but I was confused by the quirky control functions. Controls seemed to vary as volume and tone, interacted, and made changes with the rocker switches so I removed the pickguard to investigate. Situation was then obvious - wiring modifications and additions. Both pickups test in the very robust 4.40ish K range & rocker switches are fine. Would either have to learn how to dial in your preferred sound or re-do the wiring in a more conventional fashion.
TERMS OF Sale - needs strings and personal setup - sold 'as-is' vintage instrument. Informed you of the wiring situation which is correctable and highly recommended
