For sale is this incredibly rare, one-of-a-kind, 1962 Fender Jaguar in original Blue Sparkle finish. This two-tone Jag features the blue/green sparkle sometimes seen pre-'65, and a black back. The pickguard has been sprayed the exact same black as the back, seeing as Fender did not have black celluloid material during this time. In several of the cavities, bare wood is apparent. Also, 2 nail holes are still well preserved and very crisp. Perhaps for a trade show, or maybe for a movie production, it is possible the back wasn't painted as it wouldn't be seen when in a player's hands. Having owned many sparkle Fender instruments, I've never seen anything quite like this.
