Parlor guitar
made of solid tonewoods in Bayreuth / Germany around the 1920s / 1930s
- 97,5cm total length, scale lenghtapprox 62,5cm
- solid spruce top with black and white wood + celluloid binding, also in the sound opening
- solid beautiful flamed maple parlor body, lower bout 32.5cm, center bout 19.5cm , upper bout 26cm, sides hight 5.8cm - 7.4 cm
s- traight flat mahogany neck, headstock with shafted-on reinforced headstock, ebony fingerboard, stamped "WETTENGEL BAYREUTH", pearl dots, 18 frets, original rosewood nut, nut width 45mm
- original mechanisms with bone pegs - original mahogany 6pin bridge, rosewood pins with mother of pearl eyes
- Ebony strap button with Parisian eye
The guitar was restored by us and is good and is fully playable with very good string action (3.5mm E1 cuffs 12) Cracks in the top were well sealed and supported by additional thin spruce patches from inside. A crack and damage to the top were repaired properly, too. In the upper region of the left side, a piece of maple was inserted. The shellac on back and sides was renewed

The fretboard shows minor signs of wear between the first two frets, the frets are showing no signs of wear and were rounded. Tthe fingerboard was cleaned and oiled
with new classic strings
