Vintage Meifter (Herbert Schaffner) Classical Flamenco Guitar Made in Germany

Here is a rare hand-made Luthier build from Germany.  It is a Herbert Schaffner "Meifter" classical guitar.  It is vintage, possibly made in the 1960s.
Condition: - The top is flat. - Bridge is intact -Top is heavy scratched and has repair on the lower edge. - The repair is a bit sloppy with drippy clear coat and the square corner of the edge has been sanded at about a 30 degree angle. - It looks like several other glued repairs may be on the top as well by the look of the darker grains below the bridge (all are intact and tight). - The tuners function. - The neck is not a straight arrow.  It is kind of bowed a bit.  Not bad but might be something to address with your Luthier. - The neck joint is tight.  You'll see a fingernail width split in the seem.  That is just a sloppy glue joint on the plastic end cap of the heel.  The neck joint is tight.   - Needs new srings, set up, and polishing. - BTW the inlay around the sound hole is amazing!

Overall this item is still a bit of a project but not too far away from being a prized possession.  This is sold as-is for project purposes to someone who would like to restore this rare gem their own satisfaction.
