About This Listing

BSA ELAM 250 clone. This mic is a custom build based on their current M250 model with some significant upgrades. This is around a $4500 build all in. It is a beautiful sounding mic and I'm reluctant to let it go as I worked closely with the mic builder to tune and modify it over many months. It has seen very light use on only a handful of sessions in my climate controlled smoke free studio and is in pristine condition. 
  • ELAM 250, self-bias circuit
  • Josephson CK12 custom capsule. (Not available retail)
  • Haufe T14/1 transformer
  • Hand selected NOS GE JAN 6072A vacuum tube
  • RS-6120 power supply w/ upgraded mains
  • Mogami and Gotham cables included (Gotham sounds a bit brighter than the Mogami)
  • Rycote shock mount
  • Warranty until 2027
  • Handbuilt in Switzerland
