Ladies & gentleman let me start by saying this is a true once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire what is the rarest guitar ever produced by the Gibson Guitar Company during its earliest days when any special ordered guitar was just that…VERY SPECIAL !, ordered by its original owner who may have wanted a Top of the Line travel guitar, may have been a small person or perhaps even a woman, this ES-140 ¾ based guitar is nothing short of being a student level guitar, its Blonde finish is simply stunning, it features all ES-350 appointments in all respects: fully multi laminated w/b/w bindings on the front & back of its maple body, white bound “F” holes, a white bound 5-piece laminated Maple Neck with a factory Black stinger on the back of its headstock, factory nickel parts including its Grover tuners & its ABR-1 bridge as used during this period, a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard having both double-parallelogram inlays w/a border of 2 white inlaid lines around the whole border of its fingerboard, it also has a 5 layer b/w/b/w/b pickgard, gold cap knobs, what makes this even rarer is the original owner ordered a factory PAF pickup in place of the normal P-90 pickup, a factory Bigsby Vibrato & a pair of abalone star inlays in the wooden bridge, this very special made to order guitar even has a copy of Gibson’s original ledger page showing it was actually called an ES-140-N-3/4-Special completed on December 7th, 1961, it is 100% original & in exceptionally clean all original condition, it comes with a 60’s Les Paul case as it did not fit a normal case do to its Bigsby extension, this is a true time warp 1-off made guitar that has every factor included that makes up our Vintage Guitar Collector market scene, it’s a true opportunity for only one indidual so don’t miss your chance.
