Ibanez UV77SVR/PSN/WFR Anniversary Set 2016

If you would like to purchase the guitars separately, please contact us.
We have acquired a few, as usual, exceptional instruments for you to experience. Each one of these three finishes comes with a meaning; they were created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Steve Vai’s legendary release, „Passion and Warfare”.

The three finishes presented to us are: Passion (PSN), Silver (SVR) and Warfare (WFR). The Passion and Warfare swirls refer directly to the themes of Vai’s aforementioned record, while Silver is the color associated with 25th anniversary celebrations. The Silver variant features a design reminiscent of Vai’s custom 7-string when he was touring with Whitesnake, immediately following the release of „Passion & Warfare”. While these guitars are all unique and beautiful on their own, it is witnessing all of the instruments together that makes you truly appreciate the concept behind them and understand that they are ment to be together as a celebration of that era of Vai’s career.

Beyond being highly limited (only 77 pieces of each finish), these guitars have some interesting history behind them. The original paint samples were swirled up by the creator of the Multi Color Swirl found on Vai’s original Universe, Darren Johansen. He was enlisted by Ibanez to make sure the finishes will be worthy of an Anniversary model. However, Johansen mysteriously went missing in action, and despite attempts to contact him, has stayed off the radar. Eventually Ibanez had to move on, and with Vai’s blessing have decided to move on with Los Angeles based artist with ties to the LA Custom Shop, Ron Thorn of Thorn Guitars.

These guitars were crafted by the Sugi Custom Shop - the department responsible for guitars such as Joe Satriani’s JSBDG and Paul Gilberts PGMFRM. This simply is the highest quality of work available from Ibanez.

These guitars are in collectors condition. They have only been taken out of their cases to be photographed, the certificates and bonuses are all present and sealed, and even the hardshell cases come with the case shrouds from the factory.

If you want to add this rare, visually striking set to your collection - look no further.

The pictures show the exact instrument we are offering. We’ve shown all flaws and signs of use in the photos. If anything is still unclear, feel free to reach out to us.
