Background
information:
FOR THE PAT D'AGOSTINO CORPORATION OF NEW JERSEY IN THE
UNITED STATES.
Pat D'AGOSTINO formed his distribution company in the US in
1975. Previously he was responsible for
the GIBSON/Maestro effects pedals.
Initially he had EKO of Italy produce his "BENCHMARK" series
of guitars.
Later he shifted the production of his guitars and basses to
Japan (after a stint in Korea). These
MIJ guitars and basses are renowned for their high quality construction and
attractiveness.
Both of the guitars in this matched set share these features:
1. Neck
through body with maple used for the neck and the body wings.
2. Fretboard
is Rosewood.
3. Most
hardware is solid brass. (Tuners on bass are chrome).
4. These are solid and beautiful guitars that are
reminiscent of high quality American built guitars such as Alembic, Veillette
Citron etc.
Both are in very good cosmetic condition. The only slights to the finish are shown in
the photos. There is one scratch on the
front of the six string guitar between the two pickups. Also, on the six string guitar there are two
sports on the lower bout downside below the input jack. It appears that someone attempted to move the
input jack but gave up.
Electronically both are in excellent condition.
Both come in gig bags.
