Up for sale we have a 1930 Martin 00-42. The neck of this guitar was probably destroyed eons ago. The replaced neck on here is equally vintage but of unknown origin. Looks like a classical or Spanish style. This is, however a 100% original 1930 Martin 00-42 Parlor guitar body. So it’s pretty rare! Considered one of the rarest eras for Martin guitar. Looking in some Martin books (and check for yourself of course) probably less than 150-300 were made, if that. Just that this has survived is a miracle in itself. Please see splits, cracks, dents and all kinds of various issues that come along with natural 80+ year old wear and tear guitar. In my opinion this is guitar seems better suited for display than for playing. I have not played this guitar nor do intend to.

Please look at all the pictures to understand what you are getting into. You can keep this guitar as is or try to get it restored. This auction will also come with an Original Martin 1930s neck but this is NOT original to the guitar. A guitar expert has checked this out and explained that it should most likely fit. You can use it to rebuild it or re-sell it separately.

Let’s just state some things here for the record. I’m not an expert in classical, baroque and or romantic era parlor guitars like this. I mostly sell electrics & cases as you can see. I come across a lot of project guitars and picked them all up locally. All offers considered.
