Welcome to Musicdungeon. This is the Music Man Silhouette Special HSS Electric Guitar. 25.5" scale. 1 5/8" nut width. 7.7 lbs. We recently acquired the inventory of a large music store. We have lots of guitars, basses, amplifiers, effects, and pro audio gear coming up. So, please keep an eye on our store. Music Man builds their guitars using the finest materials available. This results in unparalleled tone and playability. This Silhouette starts off with an alder body and maple neck- a classic tonewood combination. The weight here provides a nice balance between natural resonance and midrange push. Grabbing up that tone are a trio of Dimarzio pickups- a Virtual PAF and a pair of custom single coils. Music Man integrated a great circuit in this ax- it uses a 9v battery to remove the hum from the singles. That means, no matter what position you're on, you get the full tone of the pickup. Beautiful. Everything from big overdriven chunk to sweet single coil neck sustain is right at your fingertips. A true tone machine. The neck here is thin- just .80" deep at the 5th fret with an elliptical C profile. Add to that the oil neck finish and 10" fretboard radius and you have a fantastic player. Effortless bends and comfortable chording. The icing on the cake here is the Music Man tremolo. This is dive-only for the ultimate in tone transfer and tuning stability. To that end, the locking machines keep the tuning rock solid. Speaking of tuning, the Earvana nut here keeps your intonation on-point. The look here is beautiful- sunburst finish, tortoise guard, small dot inlays, some gorgeous rosewood board striations, and chrome hardware. This Silhouette Special is in excellent overall condition- there are scratches on the bottom near the strap button and a small chip on the side. Nothing that affects the performance whatsoever. The frets here are clean- set up with action of just 3/32" at the 12th fret low E. This auction includes the (non original) hardshell case in pics.
