Leo Fender designed the L-2000 to be his most complete bass, blending elements from his Precision, Jazz, and Music Man designs. It's able to sound like all of those basses, but maintain it's own identity. Today it's one of the best selling U.S. produced basses. And as a fretless, it's one of the best sounding. Lots of tonal flexibility from fat and muddy, to modern, to Jaco-y. Beautiful ash body, the perfect classic burst finish, and a Jazz width neck with an ebony fingerboard, this is a nearly perfect example.
