Annie Clark, better known by her stage name St. Vincent, is making dreams come true by working with Ernie Ball Music Man to release her own signature axe. Clark cleverly premiered the St. Vincent Signature Model this week during a guest appearance at a Taylor Swift concert, playing the new model in lieu of her usual Ernie Ball Albert Lee Signature. Designed by St. Vincent in collaboration with the engineers at Ernie Ball Music Man, the St. Vincent Signature Model will be available in black and Vincent Blue and will come stock with a handful of awesome accoutrements. Featuring an Ernie Ball Music Man tremolo, St. Vincent inlays, three mini-humbuckers, a five-way pickup switch and more, Clark’s Signature Model will be shipping in early 2016.
Both St. Vincent and Ernie Ball CEO Sterling Ball have expressed their gratitude and excitement at the opportunity to work on this project: “I’m extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to design a guitar this personal with this company, this family, in whom I believe so completely,” Clark said in a press release. Ball follows up, stating, “Developing the St. Vincent model with Annie has been a highlight of my career… I’m incredibly proud Annie chose us to help realize her vision. We’re honored to have her as part of our family.”
